For over 45 years of changing owners and locations, the Owl and Turtle Bookshop Café has been an important part of coastal Camden, Maine’s active downtown. Their well-curated inventory offers customers a wide variety of reading choices, as well as an ever-expanding list of local and popular Maine-centric books. The café is warm and friendly – an excellent place to gather, relax, and chat!

Owners, Craig and Maggie White, run a very welcoming shop! Their passion for books, coffee, and community continue, despite the pandemic — offering curb-side pick-up, home delivery to locals, and media mail shipping on all book orders.
You can place your book order either by phone or email, and they’re ready to help shop and to special-order books for you. For now, the shop and cafe doors are closed to the public, but they’re checking email and voicemail regularly. Contact them today!
